Award-winning Elephant Sessions (BBC Scots Trad Music Awards Album of the Year 2017) shake the very foundations of expectation with their own unique brand of indie folk. Nominated for Live Act of the Year at the BBC Scots Trad Music Awards 2017, and Best Group at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards 2018 they’ve had audiences crowd-surfing at festivals across Europe and sold out shows in the UK.
(Rolling Stone Magazine)“Elephant Sessions… are using their instruments like weapons to destroy clichés… We love them.”
WHɎTE comprises Gaelic singer-songwriter Alasdair C. Whyte and electronic composer and musician Ross Whyte (no relation) who perform self-penned songs and instrumental pieces, as well as contemporary arrangements of rarely-heard traditional Gaelic songs. The resulting sound has been compared to Martyn Bennett and Sigur Rós.
(The Scotsman)“Alasdair’s singing commands from the offset…while the accompaniments are envelopingly ambient”
One of Scotland’s foremost traditional singers, Siobhan Miller is an exceptional talent, winning Scots Singer of the Year an unprecedented three times at the MG Alba Scots Trad Music Awards. Her unique vocal style has led her to front her own band and to guest appearances with the National Theatre of Scotland, a season on Broadway and on TV drama Outlander.
(The List)“delicate, nourishing vocals and lyrically rich compositions”
