Cara

Uplifting, energising and expressive, Cara (Irish for friend) tour internationally, performing innovative arrangements of material firmly rooted in the Irish and Scottish traditions alongside critically acclaimed original songs and tunes.

With lead vocalists Gudrun Walther (Germany) and Kim Edgar (Scotland) alongside piano, fiddle, flute, guitar, uilleann pipes and accordion, Cara have been described as “a whole festival wrapped up in one band” (Bruce MacGregor, BBC Radio Scotland).

Cara’s unique mix of songs and tunes brings together lovers of both traditional and contemporary folk. Come, make some new friends, and join in the celebration!
