Lyrical. Swaggering. A mix of glamour and grit.
Baxter Dury comes to The Queen's Hall following the release of his album 'I Thought I Was Better Than You'. The record is a new era for Baxter, a kind of extension of his 2021 book Chaise Lounge in which he winningly recounted his childhood. On record here he’s also reckoning with the legacy of that famous family name and bringing his own influences from drowsy, psychedelic west-coast hip-hop to his own colourful, evocative lyricism.
