Ticket prices and fees

All ticket prices are shown inclusive of VAT.

Individual events may carry a per-ticket booking fee. All events carry a transaction fee and there is an additional charge for sending tickets by post.

The Queen’s Hall reserves the right to alter prices or make performance alterations without prior notice. Where discounts are offered these will be to full price tickets only with one discount per ticket.

Ticket exchanges and refunds

Tickets will only be refunded if a show is cancelled or the date is changed. Where the date of an event is changed, tickets will automatically be transferred to the new date unless a refund is requested.

In either of the above cases, the full face-value of your ticket will be refunded, but booking fees, transaction fee and postage cost (if applicable) are non-refundable.

The Queen’s Hall’s liability will be to the customer who made the original purchase and the original method of payment will be used for the refund. Customers paying in cash who are unable to return in person for a refund will be sent a cheque.

You will be sent a booking confirmation email and it is your responsibility to check that you book tickets for the right event/date.

Ticket Despatch

When making a booking, you can choose to have your tickets posted out to you. This is only available to addresses within the United Kingdom and an additional charge applies. If you do not pay for postage or are booking for an event taking place within 7 days, your tickets will automatically be held for collection or can be sent as an e-ticket.

All attendees must have a ticket for an event, even if that event is free. This includes children.

Tickets can be collected from The Queen’s Hall Box Office: you will need to give your surname, postcode or booking reference when collecting.

The Queen’s Hall Box Office is normally open Monday to Friday 10.00am - 2.00pm and from ninety minutes before a performance starts until just after the main act has gone on stage. For further information about ticket collection or opening times, please telephone +44 (0)131 668 2019 or email boxoffice@queenshalledinburgh.org.

General

Subject to individual promoter or artist requests, latecomers may not be admitted to an event, or only admitted ‘on applause’. If no exact start time is advertised, doors will usually open approximately one hour before the first act is on stage.

Where we advertise a ‘doors open’ time, more exact timings will be advertised on our website and social media on the day of the event once confirmed. These are always approximate and subject to change.

Some promoters/artists rule that no cameras, camera phones, video or audio recording equipment can be used in the auditorium, unless by prior arrangement. If signage in the venue indicates this please refrain from recording of any sort. Failure to do so may result in you being requested to delete the content and/or leave the auditorium.

Only drinks purchased in The Queen's Hall bar can be consumed on the premises. This is a condition of the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005. By law, any drinks brought into the building will be removed by our staff.

The Queen’s Hall reserves the right to refuse admission. We also reserve the right to remove people from the venue without a refund in circumstances such as the refusal of security checks or if staff consider your behaviour is affecting other people’s enjoyment.

In certain circumstances, The Queen’s Hall may need to relocate customers to similar or better seats on arrival at the event.

Some performances may be filmed or photographed. By accepting these conditions ticket holders consent to the recording, filming or photographing of themselves as audience members. If you have legitimate concerns about being included in promotional photography or videography please speak to an Usher at the time of filming.

For security reasons, The Queen’s Hall reserves the right to conduct searches and you may be asked to co-operate with a bag search on entry into the building.
