Founded in 2019 in Berlin, the Leonkoro (‘Lionheart’) Quartet are one of the most exciting ensembles on the international scene.
Their many accolades include First Prize at the Wigmore Hall International String Quartet
Competition and the Concours International de Quatuor in Bordeaux. Currently BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artists, their programme includes the first of three of Mendelssohn’s wonderful string quartets presented by New Town Concerts this season.
