SCO 24/25: Mozart Sinfonia Concertante

Please note: There has been a change to the originally advertised concert. Sadly Lorenza Borrani is indisposed and will no longer be able to perform, however we are grateful to SCO Leader Stephanie Gonley who will now join us as director/violin for this concert.

Join the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, and Leader Stephanie Gonley, for an evening of innovation, virtuosity and timeless classics.

This special concert opens with the world premiere of Carmina Gadelica by SCO Associate Composer Jay Capperauld, a spellbinding new work inspired by Scotland’s rich folklore.

Gonley then leads from the violin in Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante, a sparkling dialogue between violin and viola (Max Mandel) that balances elegance with emotional depth. The evening closes with Schubert’s Fourth Symphony, the Tragic - a dramatic and deeply expressive masterpiece.
