Team Sloss statement about the postponed Daniel Sloss: HUBRIS shows at The Queen's Hall, Edinburgh:
 
"Regrettably the on-going COVID-19 situation means the postponed August shows won't be able to go ahead in 
2020. Daniel managed to get back on tour south of the border September - November until the second lockdown closed the country back down and he just did his first Scottish indoor shows since March in Tier 1 Inverness. 

But the reality is this is still a difficult time and circumstances are beyond anyone’s control - we can’t speed up 
the process of reopening large venues safely so the shows need to happen a little further down the track to make sure it's all OK for everyone - the audience, the hardworking venue staff as well as the performers.
 
The Scottish Government has been great at keeping people informed and as soon as its possible for Daniel to perform HUBRIS in Edinburgh (and beyond) we will announce dates here and social media.
 
In the meantime with Christmas approaching we felt that we ought to now cancel the shows so you all get your money back. We hugely appreciate your trust and support and promise we will continue to be at the forefront of reopening live touring and will bring Daniel's show to a Scottish venue near you in the best possible way (ie. safe, fun gigs with a live audience in a proper comedy atmosphere) just as soon as it can be done properly.
 
Tickets bought from The Queen’s Hall will be refunded. You don't need to contact them - they will be in touch.

The all-new, 11th solo show by Scotland’s international comedy superstar, hot on the heels of his ground-breaking, global smash hit “Daniel Sloss: X”.

Lauded by the ancient Greeks, hubris is the devastating, dangerous and of course exciting characteristic which often led to the hero’s downfall. So exactly how do you follow a global smash-hit juggernaut tour of 300 performances across 40 countries? With a phenomenal new show that doesn’t have a theme or a twist or require any trigger warnings.

‘Daniel Sloss: HUBRIS’ is the next chapter in this odyssey.

The extraordinary ‘X’ tour toured non stop for 17 months across the globe, with extra dates also selling out as fast as they could be added  - throughout Europe, the UK, the US, Canada, Australia, Hong Kong, Japan and even packing a Moscow arena (becoming Russia’s biggest-ever English language comedy show). The film of ‘X’ is now showing on HBO in the US and Canada and became the first UK comedy special to make its UK premiere in cinemas, with its nationwide release at Vue.

Daniel’s previous two Netflix specials ‘DARK’ and ‘Jigsaw’ are streaming in 190 countries, 26 languages with the infamous ‘Jigsaw’ now credited with breaking up over 75,000 couples and cited in over 130 divorces worldwide (with fans even bringing their divorce papers for him to autograph at shows). 

He has sold out six New York solo off-Broadway seasons, appeared on US TV’s ‘Conan’ ten times, broken box office records at the world’s biggest arts festival in Edinburgh and toured in over 50 countries.
