Diversions is a concert to celebrate Scotland’s creative diversity. Hebrides Ensemble and Drake Music Scotland’s Digital Orchestra have come together for a unique collaboration between acoustic and digital musicians.

For the first time, disabled musicians from Drake Music Scotland's Digital Orchestra will join with the Hebrides Ensemble to form a mesmerising orchestra and present the world premier of ‘Symphonies of Instruments’ by award winning composer, Ben Lunn.

"Diversions" welcomes the fresh and independent voices of disabled composers with a programme of new work for solo instruments, quartet, and iPad Quartet. Featuring music by composers Rylan Gleave, Siobhan Dyson, Lucy Hale, Ewan Mackay, Rhona Smith, Benjamin Teague and Joseph Stollery.

This concert includes BSL interpretation and other elements designed to welcome audience members to the hall. There will be a chill out space and you're welcome to bring a blanket, cushion or anything else that will make you feel comfortable.

Kindly supported by Creative Scotland, Esmée Fairbairn Foundation, PRSF Talent Development Partnership, Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo and City of Edinburgh Council Culture fund, The RVW Trust, Kimie Trust and Turcan Connell.

Presented by Drake Music Scotland and Hebrides Ensemble
