From folk music to comedy, one of Edinburgh’s top venues has unveiled a fun-packed May ahead.
The Queen’s Hall in Southside’s Clerk Street is celebrating its 40th anniversary with an exciting new programme of events this year.
This month’s festivities kick off on Saturday, May 4, at 7.30pm when acclaimed folk artist Heidi Talbot brings three of the best contemporary folk artists to the QH stage. Väsen’s heavenly music is based on the rural Swedish tradition with a contemporary flavour, Floriane Blancke is a French harpist, fiddler, pianist and vocalist, and Inge Thomson conjures a sonic scene of other-worldly beauty, song and tunes deftly interwoven with loops and electronic trickery.
