Ray Mears: Born to go Wild

13 October 2017 at 7:30pm

Ray Mears’s new tour is spectacular. Learn how to make fire without all the modern devices and there’s a look behind the scenes at the making of his TV show about Australia. A serious master class in both survival and nature.

Come and see Ray as never seen before. For the first time, he will reveal what drives him to continually explore the harsher parts of the world, and how his fascination for nature and the differing cultures he has uncounted has changed his outlook on life. How does he survive and deal with the enormous dangers he often faces? What motivates him?

In this global world of uncertainty everybody should be aware of how to survive the unexpected.

From a very young age Ray discovered the joys of exploring the Wilderness, the most intact, undisturbed wild natural areas left on our planet. His fascination with this environment that has not been modified by civilized human activity, has greatly shaped his life. Ray will take you on a journey that he deeply values for cultural, spiritual, moral and aesthetic reasons and explain why he believes these are vital for the human spirit and creativity.
