The Queen's Hall presents

Old Blind Dogs

6 April 2017 at 8:00pm

Old Blind Dogs release their much anticipated and long awaited new album in 2017. Fusing dynamic percussion, polished vocals, soaring fiddle and stirring pipes, the band have been at the leading edge of the roots revival for several years and continue to distinguish themselves as vital, innovative ambassadors of traditional music.

With Jonny Hardie (fiddle), Aaron Jones (bouzouki), Ali Hutton (pipes) and Donald Hay (percussion), the band are at their peak, performing with astonishing musical skill and verve.

“A Scots neo-traditional super group, with a bracingly modern musical attack” (Montreal Gazette)
“The Old Blind Dogs were described as 'veteran' in the festival guide, although the passing years seem to have done nothing to slow their pace as they played a blistering set. Augmented by stellar session sax player Nigel Hitchcock, they stole the show as they stormed through crowd-pleasers such as MacPherson’s Rant” (Showcase Scotland Celtic Connections - The Herald)
