Corinne Morris: cello
Peter Limonov: piano

Beethoven: Variations on a theme by Haendel's Judas Maccabaeus "See the Conqu'ring Hero Comes" W0o 45
Godard: Sonata Op104 in D minor
Schumann: 3 Fantasiestücke Op73
Brahms: Sonata Op38 in E minor
Popper: Hungarian Rhapsody

After years away from the concert platform, coping with a devastating injury, brilliant cellist Corinne Morris celebrates her return - on the occasion of her new album - at Queen's Hall. A beautiful recital includes favourite cello works by Beethoven, Schumann and Brahms. And there will also be little-known gems, Benjamin Godard's magnificently large-scale, flamboyant sonata from the early 1900s, and the fiendishly difficult Hungarian Rhapsody by a great cellist of his day, David Popper.

Corinne's new CD, Chrysalis, alongside the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, is out on Linn Records and Corinne will be signing copies of her CD after the concert.
