SCO Explore Days: Dvořák

11 November 2017 at 10:30am

Royal Conservatoire of Scotland

Explore Day: Dvořák is presented by Professor Jan Smaczny (Queen’s University Belfast) - author, broadcaster, journalist and an extensively published authority on Dvořák’s life and work. The day will include detailed exploration of Dvořák’s violin and piano concertos, both of which are featured in SCO Season Concerts, and of Dvořák's compositions from his time in the United States, particularly the 'New World' Symphony and his deeply personal and emotional Biblical Songs. Come along to this SCO Explore Day with Professor Jan Smaczny with excerpts performed by SCO players.

Explore Day: Dvořák is delivered in partnership with the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
