Georgian Concert Society presents

Flanders Recorder Quartet

21 April 2018 at 7:30pm

The Georgian Concert Society regrets that the concert by the Flanders Recorder Quartet could not take place on Saturday night owing to delays in their travel arrangements caused by cancellation of flights at London Heathrow Airport.

Tickets from Sat 17 March are still valid for this concert.

Bart Spanhove, Paul van Loey, Tom Beets and Joris van Goethem: recorders

Music by JS Bach and Telemann arranged for four recorders
JS Bach is without a doubt the greatest musical genius that Western culture has produced. His vast yield of outstanding works is constantly performed in a variety of styles and genres. The diversity of his output is presented by the Flanders Recorder Quartet with arrangements of expressive chorales, inventive preludes and fugues and lively Italianate concerti. Music owes as much to Bach as religion to its founder (Robert Schumann).
