Love and Fortune: A Noble Legacy
From haunting melancholy to stormy passion, Fieri Consort explores the powerfully expressive influence of Cipriano de Rore on the generations of composers who followed him. The programme includes madrigals by Rore, Marenzio, Wert, Ingegneri and Willaert (his predecessor) and Monteverdi (his successor).  This vibrant un-conducted ensemble of young singers is joined by harp and theorbo for both solos and accompaniment.

"Suddenly the Abbey was full of intricately-blended and immaculately-controlled vocal lines...separate intelligences are perfectly united into a corporate performance" (The Fine Times Recorder)
