ABOUT US / Invest In Our Future

The Queen’s Hall is an independent charity run by a voluntary board of Directors.  We have no parent body to call on for funding and in common with many arts organisations in Scotland are living through turbulent times in the wider economy and a great degree of flux in public funding for the arts. Recent research which benchmarked The Queen’s Hall against 17 other comparable UK venues concluded that:
"These figures demonstrate that The Queen’s Hall earns a much higher percentage of its income than average and currently operates on significantly less subsidy than average. Taking all the above into account it must be said that The Queen’s Hall does exist on a low level of public funding. It’s almost the lowest level that research has found." (Robert Sanderson)

To ensure that The Queen's Hall has long term stability we are asking our supporters to consider Gifts of Shares, Legacies, Gifts of Property or items of value. The Charity owns the building but we need to develop the asset base of the organisation to make a secure future for the artists and audiences who love and use the Hall.
